Life's Ups and Downs...

Had to keep the engagement secret (NOT my place to tell everyone, Surprise!!! And not an easy task for me!). And try not to be anything but supportive of Jimmy (Yes I did cry! after I hung up the phone.)

Today he called and said he was going to get to take the test again in a month and was still working building his client base. Marianne called tonight to say they had set the wedding date...October 18, 2008.

Emotions like disappointment, excitement, hope, joy, all come to mind. In this collage of color and feelings I truly have seen and felt the hand of God. I have seen Jimmy, though disappointed, positive. Marianne joyful and excited, but just a little anxious. And ME? all the of the above!

OH! Humanity! What a wonderful creation!! Thanks be to God!!!

  1. The photograph and your words made me think of Steve Martin in "Parenthood." I like movies about transformation and it was a classic to see how Steve's character could finally ride the rollercoaster smiling, laughing and even taking his clenched hands off the safety bar. Great image, Cathy!!

Congratulations to Marianne and continued prayers and thanks to God for Jimmy!!

  3. Congrats to Marianne! And boy that's gonna be some quick wedding planning. I'm sure Jimmy will do fine the second time around. He will be less nervous and know what to expect. From what I have gathered about Jimmy he is very driven when he puts his mind to something he wants.
