Waiting on the Tarmac

Liberty International Airport
Newark, NJ

Airplanes are waiting
With New York City skyline
Resting on tarmac

Eager to fly high
Oh, the anticipation
Waiting to begin

~~~~~~~
In 10 short days the journey to the Holy Land begins and again we'll be flying through Newark.  You can see the skyline of New York City and the Statue of Liberty from there and it is most impressive.  I have to quell my enthusiasm for this trip.  I still have to WAIT!  I am grateful for the gift of travel and for this opportunity to yet again be a pilgrim.
Haiku My Heart
Posted by Picasa
The anticipation does not diminish with age.  The Glory of this season is infectious and of all the "germs" with which one should be infected I think the gloria-in-excelius strain should be passed on to everyone.  I'm just saying, "Imagine an epidemic of peace, love, joy, and goodwill to ALL!!!!!"
The Joy in Tea Talk
Sometimes, during my hours of prayer, I picture myself as a piece of stone before a sculpture who intends to make a statue our of it. Presenting myself like this before the Lord, I beg him to form form in my soul his perfect image and make me wholly like Christ. ~Brother Lawrence~
I'm having...Good Earth decaf original tea.  Seems to be a perfect day to celebrate Mother Earth with this tea on this day of Season Change.
My teacup... is nearly empty but it was oh so good.
I'm feeling... glad I was able to get a lot of things done yesterday and am ready for work today!
On my mind...The busy weekend!!!  Tomorrow is Kellie's Senior Night recognition at the football game, working at Mother Teresa's Treasures on Saturday, marching band contest Saturday afternoon and then friends for dinner on Sunday!  Exciting!!!!
Please join Ruth at Tea Talk today.
Today I also join Meri for Share the Joy Thursday.   For I believe we need to find it in my life every day no matter the realities in which we live.  God is Good in so many ways even in times of trial.
Enjoy the glorious colors of this Autumn Season!
~~Tea Talk~~
But I try to steal other moments. Sometimes I get up very early in the morning and enjoy a quiet house and cup of tea before the craziness begins. Other times, I'll take a quick walk on the beach. You can find peace in a few minutes. ~Cindy Crawford
I'm having...A glass of orange juice this morning.  I haven't brewed my tea yet.
My teacup...is a clear juice glass.
I'm feeling...a wee bit tired.  Had a busy day yesterday.  Planning the Book of Wit 'n' Wisdom for my nephews wedding in June.  Shopping for the book and then contacting his sister for help!  It was so much fun to talk to Darbie!!!  She's a dear!
On my mind...is the refreshing feeling that I have nearly got everything back in order since the kitchen remodeling began.  I am also anticipating the arrival of dear little Xavier.  If he's not born today, the Dr. will induce Kelly tomorrow.  Please pray for the entire family!
Simple table set for Ron's birthday yesterday.  It was a grand day all round!
