Maybe visit your local art museum. Spend the time walking through the galleries. The beauty, quiet and serenity can be most refreshing. Enjoy!!!

An occasional bit of wit 'n' wisdom as gleaned from the wise and learned. Family fun and times to share.
Nice. I like the Beethoven too!
ReplyDeleteA trip to an art museum or gallery is one of my favorite afternoons out. I especially love to go to galleries where you can talk to the artist. There are a lot of those in the little artsy mountain towns, where you can enjoy God's artwork, and other people's talent in putting it on canvas, too. &:o)
ReplyDeleteOne of our favorite summer activities is to visit the art museum here featuring Southern art. The boys always take a sketch pad and colored pencils, then find a favorite painting and either try to duplicate it, or recreate it as they see it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Lisa in that it's always lovely if you can meet the artist.
Isnt it wonderful that God gives us all gifts and talents to share with one another. I would have loved to learn to paint, but unfortunately it is not my gift, but I do so enjoy looking at paintings.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I try to 'paint with my words' hmm lol.
Peace & love to you:)

We all have special gifts. You all share them with me often. I have wished I could draw, paint, play te piano with great skill, make my harp sing. I guess that's not unnecessarily what I have been called to do. I also have to have the will to work at it...Now, the harp and piano take practice, diligent practice. I have not done that in some time. Perhaps, in gratitude to the one who "gifts" me I should work more at attaining those skills which I have learned but not honed. It's never too late. Thank you all! have a glorious Spring day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy for mentioning my blog and my daughter's exhibition. You are so kind! I'd like to see Laura's art work, too. I used to be a biology teacher for 14 years . I understand that she is happy with her work and students.
ReplyDeleteThank you again, Sma
