I love trees. They are like mankind, all different sizes, some sick, some strong. Tall and small, weak and strong, all creations from above. Your haiku tells us a story. Good stuff!
that is a brilliant haiku, cathy. it gives me a warm feeling as christmas is just around the corner. we should all stand tall and strong like that lovely pine tree.
thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment. :)
I remember our neighbour's house as a child had a small tree planted in the garden just after Christmas by a little boy, it now stands tall and strong like the one in your image. The sun has shone through it's branches for many years. The neighbours are long time gone now, but the tree lives on and so do the memories of happy sunshine days!
Great post Cathy. My grandparents farm was named 'Lone Oak Farm' and majestic trees always make me thing of them. The farm house is gone, burned, but the 'Lone Oak' is still there. Thanks for all your visits and kind comments. I am getting back to normal, sore muscles and all. So grateful not worse. QMM

ReplyDeleteIt's not alone. . . I see its friends a short distance away. Close enough to have a conversation, so I'm sure it's not lonely.
