The little Dutch shoes
Hung on the tree just
Waitin' and watchin'
How lovely I am
As she watched and she waited
For someone to stop
She realized though
As humility won out
It's not about me!
Wishing all a wonderful weekend, with peace and relaxation as we approach the Birthday of the King.
Bad Haiku Friday |
Good Morning Cathy! You and I are early Haiku risers. Thanks for stopping by this morning and leaving your wonderful comments. Your little dutch shoes are so sweet, and your haiku captures the Christmas spirit so well. I love the picture and each carefully chosen word.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, and I am about to "frolic" around your posts. I am a former Catholic school teacher, also. Have a wonderful, December day!
Well, Cathy, I just read further, and you are a registered nurse. Laura is the Catholic teacher! OOPS!!! Anyways, I am "double-blessed" by your visit because I found you and Laura! It's gonna be a great day!
ReplyDeletecharming in word and the sight of those tiny blue and whites!

Great Haiku! And lovely little Dutch shoes! I used to collect them, they are packed away now, but I think after Christmas I will dig them out of the attic and display them again.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your beautiful Christmas sentiments!
Have a great weekend!
Your visiting this weekend, right?
Have a safe and happy trip!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
This is so beautiful.. yes its never about 'ME' but then that's how we keep feeling.. this is reality... enlightenment whenever it happens..is for the good..
ReplyDeleteI'd say "amusing haiku" not bad haiku.
ReplyDeleteThere's something sad about these pretty little shoes waiting and not being noticed.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you noticed them enough to write a sweet little haiku about them.
Your tree should look so pretty with those little Dutch Clogs they deserve to be noticed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments on my haiku.
Love Sue x

ReplyDeleteMy Lady Haiku,
