It's that time of year
When she moves from floor to bed
There's no room for me!
On the floor she sleeps
When the summer heat prevails
The freedom it brings
But the cold air comes
For the middle of the bed
She gives up the floor.

Thanks be to God!

Lovely fun haiku! Enjoyed each one! That is a gorgeous buddy you have!
ReplyDeleteSweet and sweeter! Nothing like the warmth of a dog to keep you cozy at night : )
ReplyDeleteThis is sweet! Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess along with hogging the bed she must keep you warm at least!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
Such a sweet haikus! I can almost see her lying in the middle of the bed!
ReplyDeleteAh, Cathy,
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if we had the same idea today. What a sweet girl you have here and I don't blame her one bit for wanting to crawl in bed on a cold day! Beautiful photos of your dear furry friend! Thanks for sharing them.
xo,
Noelle
We are just moving into the warm days. Hoping Joseph will prefer his own cot to our bed especially when we gwt to days in the 100's.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky fortunate dog. What a benevolent human being. What a friendship. Lovely haiku.

At first, the pictures didn't come in, so I had to wonder if you were writing about a cat or a dog...but now I see your sweet darling! Great haiku!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos accompany your haikus! She's a cutie! =)
ReplyDeleteJust a wonderful set of Haiku. It brought back memories of my Maggie who always slept in the middle of our bed. I still miss her so much. Great work.

ReplyDeletewhat a great bed warmer. steady companion.
ReplyDeleteBut you're not complaining, are you? :-)
ReplyDeleteChimes here and here and here
I am also a big-time dog person, although my Mollie rarely sleeps on the bed at night. She prefers the staircase bottom between the two floors--guarding me, I guess. Your doggie is beautiful and I can so identify with your post--and i love the accompanying music.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's earned her spot. How cute.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth :)
Oh yes, we had a most insistent cat on the bed last night.
