Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter. ~Carol Bishop Hipps
These two quotes have touched me today. Especially as the month of October wanes. For my garden is not going to pass easily into winter this year. Even though it has been left to its own resources, without the weeding and pruning, it continues to thrive in all its beauty. It's true for me that fall is indeed, that "perfect pause between" summer and winter.

Your garden must look lovely. The flowers and the rose are gorgeous. I still have some blooms around my yard too. It is nice to still see some doing well at the end of October. Lovely photos and mosaic. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos! These gorgeous flowers lift my heart. I sure wish we had a proper fall here in NYC, rather than summer directly into winter. I adore fall flowers, the rich colors, the gorgeous pods and seedheads... sigh, I dream of moving somewhere where I can get me some of this wonderful fall-ness someday. Blessings and have a lovely week!
