Enthusiasm
It's been lost and can't be found
O where has it gone?
For the last several months I seem to have lost the excitement I once had in writing this blog. I've even toyed with the idea of discontinuing the blog, but as often happens for me I just can't let it go yet. Maybe the enthusiasm will return. Perhaps, the thrill of the comment will "feed the ego" and I'll feel inspired again. Who knows...At any rate today, I have given a name to what is lacking.
~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!
Cathy
Sorry to hear your enthusiasm has descended on the scale. Perhaps you need to come on over and visit Ireland, where a hundred thousand welcomes await you.
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious day
Oh, what a grand idea!!!! I'm hoping this will be sooner than later as this is #1 on my "bucket list." Have a wonderful day!!!
DeleteSuch an honest blogpost... at least you know what's lacking. Look deep inside yourself - find the core and the answer to what you REALLY want. Whatever you decide, it will be good for you!
ReplyDeletedo hope you keep the blog ~ link up with some blog hops ~ I too go through cycles where my interest wanes ~ like life comes in 'waves' ~ Do go to Ireland if you can ~ it is soooooooo beautiful ~thanks, namaste, ^_^
ReplyDeleteoh cathy,
ReplyDeletesometimes the ebb we experience is nothing but a contrast so we can perceive more clearly the mysteries of our heart and our profound connection to all things great and small. your love and light are so welcome in this world. how many times have i come here to find your candle burning bright.
today may your cup be filled with an outpouring of acknowledgment. may our words of support humbly serve as mirrors reflecting strongly back to you your radiant soul and place in our grateful hearts.
so glad you are here!
I know the feeling, Cathy. I just visted Provident God as well. You've taken a vacation there, I see. John Michael Talbott's music there is beautiful as is the music here.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling...but it will pass.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of hands to hold onto, all willing to help you up.
♥♥♥
I totally get it.....but I force myself sometimes and I am always glad I did....Your photo is interesting, and your words are so honest...
ReplyDeleteEnthusiasm waxes and wanes, but can be created by knowing what your soul needs. Taking a break from blogging isn't a bad thing, and can give you the time to discover new joys.
ReplyDeleteAww...keep blogging...I really like visiting here!
ReplyDeleteLook around and see whether there is a poetry or writing or photography or I-don't-know-what meme that seems exciting.
As a blogger since 2004, the content (along with our moods and life's bumps and joggles) wanes. Just sit with your blog, bless it, and show up when you can. I can identify with your haiku and the photo is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy,
ReplyDeleteDon't ever stop blogging because a lot of people will miss out on your lovely photos, chats and music. And also we love to see you visiting us every now and then and leave a comment on our blogs. You're an important part of the blogging community.
God bless.
And another thing ... when enthusiasm is low and you don't feel like writing, why not copy/paste stories from other blogs (with their permission of course) and encourage your readers to visit them too. And build a larger community of bloggers. You're always welcome to copy any of my stories if you wish.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Enthusiasm
ReplyDeleteand peace and inspiration
when I visit here.
Not to mention, you always feed my soul. AND I love your playlist. Sometimes I will visit your site and listen to the music while I work on the laptop.
Hugs,
Bia/Maria
Thank you, Bia!
DeleteCome back, come back...oh, wait, you haven't gone away yet! Don't go away, don't go away, don't go away!
ReplyDeleteIn the Beginning
A wee postscript: Could you get rid of that horrid word verification, please? Blogger is now doing automatic spam detection, so word verification is superfluous. Thank you!
Done and done!!! ;0) Have a wonderful week!
DeleteI feel the same way about blogging at times. My inspiration comes and goes in waves.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I just discovered your blog, and I like it, so I hope that you will stay around for awhile, as I'd love to read more of your writings. :)
