The years at the spring
And day's at morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hillside's dew-pearleld;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in his heaven-
All's right with the world!
~~Robert Browning~~
I know that Spring is still three weeks away and the change to daylight savings time is not for two weeks. You can accuse me of pressing my luck. So be it!! Just remember! The Feast of Saint Patrick falls between both...There is Hope for Spring!!!
~~~~~~
Spring's 'round the corner
Goslings and ducklings are born
Softness in down
Little lambs and calves
Nourished by their mother's milk
Spring's 'round the corner
~~^j^~~
Thanks be to God!!
Cathy
Yes I think spring will come soon, even though it might be chilly for awhile. I think we just had our one and only snow "event" which wasn't much at all but with it's dense slush, has watered the earth well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely, soft celebration of the birth of Spring Cathy! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am more than ready for spring -- always remembering that our great Blizzard of '93 was in March . . .
ReplyDeleteTo those in snowy climes, that corner seems awfully long, I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteIt can't come soon enough! Still *cold* here in NE! The baby duck reminds me of our grandson who lives in FLA who recently discovered a family of a *dozen* baby ducks in the pond near his home and is soooo excited about them! Nice to realize that, even if we're still shivering in our shoes here, it is spring somewhere already! Blessings, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteCompletely charming. It makes me want to plan a trip to walk about the lake in a few weeks to see the baby ducks.
ReplyDeleteLovely! :)
