Awoke to snow at 5:00 a.m. this morning.
By 10:00 a.m. the sun was shining and the snow was gone. The Bradford pear was in all its glory.
The leaves on the rose bushes were grateful for the absence of snow. Those are tears of joy!
Wishing all a warmer week with April weather to which we are more accustomed.
~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!
I am not a snow person...so like the rose leaves I enjoy the gentle kiss from the sun!
ReplyDeleteAh ... the Bradford Pear ... a lovely specimen of a tree, especially when several are planted relatively close to each other ... drawing Spring inspiration from those of you that are a few weeks ahead of us!
ReplyDeleteSnow seems to be lingering on this year. Glad when it gets a little warmer.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's well and truly time to say goodbye to the snow, enjoy the warmer spring weather as you discover the garden once again.
ReplyDeleteHappy MM.
Spring seems odd this year. We go from heat and humidity, to cool, and back again. I know you are tired of snow -- but those of us who never see snow -- it is pretty to look at! Your Bradford pear is spectacular. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude, but I still want warmer weather for April.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, April never seems to be able to make up its mind. However, I'm sure that my family on the west coast are enjoying more flowers and more green lawns that I am out here on the prairie where the cold winds blow.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, taking us through April's many states of mind!
All of the moisture will be good for the plants...I hope! It's warm and humid here today and we've had about a dozen drops of rain! lol Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and collages, Cathy.As you know, Colorado weather is also very changeable all year round, but especially in spring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and I do love fruit trees in bloom!
ReplyDeleteLove mother nature's artwork! For the simple reason that no once can copy it:) Reading in your side bar that you were a nurse - in college I had a room mate who was a nurse - are you all hyper responsible? Joking:) Have a lovely week
ReplyDeleteSnow in April doesn't last long, usually, which is a very good thing! Wishing you many pleasant April days.
ReplyDeleteAh - springter - the fifth season! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteCathy, I don't know how the animals are coping. The amount of light must be telling them it's spring but the temperatures are still quite brutal. I checked the tree yesterday not even a bit of bud yet. Have a great day. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking spring is finally here for good, but then we have another coldd snap! Sheesh - let's let Old Man Winter have a rest!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring Cathy. Sounds as if it has arrived in all its beauty and capriciousness.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous collage and photography definitely speaks of nature's transitioning ~
