Budding Spring

Frost warning tonight
The rosebuds prepare to bloom
In spite of our fear

For all their beauty
They always look so fragile
They are truly strong

~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!!
Cathy
  15. We are having early morning frost too. It seems we can't win in waiting months for sunshine and springtime.
  16. Your poem is touching. I think rose bud, which bends in the wind but rarely breaks, will overcome the frost, too. What we humans need now is concentrated strength to persistent action, staying home. We shall overcome. Take care.
  17. I've been enjoying our cool weather. Perfect for yard work and walking. Sometimes we have very cool weather and then jump right into 90 degrees, so this spring has been delightful, and a real blessing since we are at home!
  18. I love seeing your wonderful rose bud. The roses are completely filled out here as well and I am awaiting the first bud. Roses thankfully are pretty resilient with the colder spring evenings. Enjoy the garden!
  24. We are in a bit of a heat wave here in the Pacific Northwest but it'll cool soon with thunderstorms. I look forward to as much rain as we can get. I'm afraid this summer is going to be hotter and drier than normal (which means more fires). - Margy
