Though Halloween is over. . .I just had to share these photos of the holiday and the fun some people have in celebrating it. I did enjoy the "gentleman and his dog!"
So the holidays begin. Yes, this is only the beginning!
Autumn is still glorious here. The weather has been good, except for rains last week that brought us 5 inches. All in all it's been grand so I intend to be glad and rejoice!
This poor "gentleman" apparently had had enough and gave up the ghost, no pun intended. It is so sad to see a beautiful, old tree like this just lay down. It's hollow so it was suffering for some time. May he rest in peace.
~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!!
Cathy
It's always sad to see a big tree go--but it's the way of life's circle.
ReplyDeleteLoved all of your pictures, though the last one made me sad. Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOh I hate to see a tree go. Our huge spruce where the eagles perched, was taken in a storm, July of 2019. So sad. Cute skeletons, though! Have a blessed Lord's Day!
ReplyDeleteI think my comment disappeared. Anyway, cute skeletons! Sad to see a nice big tree go. Have a blessed Lord's Day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for both comments. You are very kind.
DeleteLove your photography ~ especially the 'gentleman and his dog' ~ I am always sad for a fallen tree but it is part of life ~ sigh. Happy Sunday to you.
Lovely photos of Halloween. Thanx Cathy.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
...over the last few years, I have been amazed by how many of these skeletons that I see, but never a bow tie!
ReplyDeletelove your fabulous skeleton sitting in a chair and all the other fall photos
ReplyDeleteCathy - we live out in the country, so we would have to make an effort to see other people's Halloween decorations ... I miss it. My hubby and I also normally participate in the adult costume contest in a nearby town, but not this year. Maybe 2021. So I am grateful to see your photos! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteHello, Happy November!
ReplyDeleteYour Halloween photos are cute, I like the skeleton. The fall colors looks pretty, it sad that the big tree came down. Take care and stay safe! Have a great week!
It is very sad to see a beautiful old tree come down! You saw some neat decorations though. The dog is very funny! Wonder if it would make little kids wonder though! lol Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeletevery nice mosaics. and a beautiful fall still.
ReplyDeleteI it always sad to see a large, seemingly, healthy tree falling to the ground.I feel sorry for it!
I love those Halloween decorations! Really cute! The tree is quite majestic looking for sure. Too bad it had to come down!
ReplyDeleteFunny, this creepy gentleman, a good idea in this hard days.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for this wonderful tree!
Happy MosaicMonday
What fun Halloween decorations and photos, Cathy! It's sad to see an old tree fall down, and I hope it did not hurt anyone or destroy property.
ReplyDeleteWe don't do Halloween - well not in my family anyway - but I did enjoy seeing the way people dress up their houses in your post. Enjoy what is left of autumn, stay safe, and thank you for visiting my blog this week.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all your captures, especially "gentleman and his dog"! Kinda sad really, I imagine him waiting there with his dog for an eternity for his beloved to come home someday but she never did.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
Fun shots!
ReplyDeleteThe fallen tree can still provide life for many creatures. I enjoyed your Halloween walk.
ReplyDeleteIndeed have a wonderful week Cathy. Enjoyed your mosaics
Interesting photo, although I confess Halloween is my least favorite holiday. Too much creepy stuff. This display is rather fun.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo made me laugh. Love the decorations. I'm with you about the tree. I always feel very sad when I see an old tree cut down or ripped out of the ground from a storm.
A tree in our joint neighborhood backyard fell down this fall , (we live in an apartment complex, so not our responsibility) but close enough we heard the noise, almost like the tree was crying I swear! Sad.
ReplyDeleteYour story is so touchng. It brought tears to my eyes! Thank you for sharing!
