The Surrey With The Fringe On Top

Granddaughter, Kellie, is in the summer production of the Warrick County musical Oklahoma!!!! This is one of my FAVORITE musicals and as a child I loved to sing this song! Just the best rhythm and lyrics and fun to sing! What's your favorite song from Oklahoma?

  5. Chicks and Ducks and Geese better scurry,
When I take you out in the surrey
When I take you out in the surrey with the fringe on top...

Nosey folks will peek through the shutters,
When I drive them high-steppin' strutters....

Okay. Enough. This is one of my favorite musicals...know all the words...can recite the dialogue.

    Congrats to Kellie!

  6. How awesome...the nuns had us do a play with this in it in grade school and I remember singing the lyrics to this day!

It was sweet of Bia to write them too!

    Best of luck to Kellie.

BTW, loved the quote today, so true!

  8. I enjoyed listening to this Kathy and looking at your picture from your holiday too.

I haven't ever seen the musical Oklahoma but now that I have listened to this I am going to have to see if I can find a copy of it at our local video shop.

I just went to you tube and did a search for the songs. I really liked the opening song Oklahoma. This one was nice too and I have heard oh what a beautiful morning.
