Do you ever wonder if any of those words that are used for word verification are real? Well on occasion I have looked them up in the dictionary or tried to get away with one as a word while playing scrabble only to find it didn't exist and I couldn't fool anyone else by using it. I find that they just do not exist...I cant remember in the last 2 1/2 years getting a REAL word!
Well, much to my delight, this morning when I was commenting at Bernie's House I actually had a word I knew! Yes, indeed!
It put a smile on my face and will be reminded, when I have to spell a word verification 3 times to post my comment, that once upon a time I got a REAL WORD!!!
Have a grand day!!!

And thanks be to God!!!

Hey, you've been reading my mind! I think the words have got more feasible recently. I think we should make a collection :)
ReplyDeleteHad to go back and read Saturday's post, almost missed my challenge.

PS, had forgotten you were a nurse. I also saw you play the harp. I dabble in the violin. We are next state neighbors. Are you familiar with VNA Nazareth Home Health? That is where I retired from just about 2 years ago. Our agency is in Southern Indiana.

That was a cute word that you ended up with Cathy! Some word verifications DO come close to real words...there have even been a few that only had an extra letter.
ReplyDeleteblessings and hugs,
marcy
So true Cathy, and have you noticed the verification words are getting longer......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteYes!! I posted about this a while back - great minds think alike :)
ReplyDeleteOften wonder just who makes up these verification words that are so annoying. the ones with letters and numbers that are blury and not straight are like reading an eye chart at the doctors office without my eye glasses on:)

I keep on wondering why they call it a word verification since it isn't a word most of the time.
ReplyDeleteSome of the words are so funny! Cute post!
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while, very infrequently, a real word DOES come up. Like you, I'm surprised!
ReplyDeleteCute post and so true ...why does it take three attempts to leave a comment with word verification and then the comment is moderated? So crazy..lol
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO!!! I love all the fun word verification options...I've had several over the last year that are real words...it always astounds me.
ReplyDeleteYou got a real word? LOL! A first!!! I think the verification mumbo jumbo has been getting longer and longer. It used to be about 5 letters long, and now it is usually 8 or 9. Has anyone else noticed this? Nice that you have been able to turn an annoyance into a game. I still wish people would turn it off and switch over to "comment moderation" instead.
ReplyDeleteHa that was cute!!~
ReplyDeleteGood day! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was
ReplyDeletewondering which blog platform are you using for this
website? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had
issues with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

First off I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick
ReplyDeletequestion in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts
before writing. I have had a hard time clearing my thoughts in
getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips?
Thanks!
