Tufts of snow so white
Tufts of snow, white and fluffy
Tufts of snow so slick!

Snowfall
Beautiful sight
Flakes so different yet
Of one community
Piling up it must be shoveled
Much work!
I do love snow when it covers the ground in a light carpet of white. But like white carpeting, though so beautiful, it is easily ruined by one footstep. It is no longer white but begins to turn gray, then brown then oh so ugly. It's just the nature of this visitor. Wishing all a grand weekend wherever you may be!

Thanks be to God!
Bad Haiku Friday |
Well you know that I am not much of a snow lover but I do love a good snow day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
The ugliness comes from the hand of mankind. The snow is always white. Like any othervwater, I see it with great respect. Like a rogue wave can knockmyoumoff your feet, a slippery patch can take your feet out fromn under you. So, be careful out there.
ReplyDeleteRespecting the snow for what it is, what Nature has brought us, makes me feel like it is a friend of mine. It melts, becomes the life blood of the Sacred Earth Mother.
I love this photo, and would love to walk along this body of water in any season. thanks.
Peace.
Love the photo. Nice post.
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Boonie
Hmmm, I think is is so beautiful from inside, from afar but have to say it is not my favorite gift from nature...
ReplyDeleteCelebrating it is a good thing, I think, instead of cursing it !
Enjoy the wonderland...

Beautiful photo and perfect haiku, Cathy! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene and since your haiku is better than any "hai" we could "ku," we won't comment.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
As long as the snow is OUTside and not INside, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFriends Haiku My Heart
Beautiful photo and beautiful haiku! And I agree one hundred percent about the snow! I love it for about an hour, and then I've had my fill!
ReplyDeleteWe still have such a mess here, and then a light dusting just came now, Ray and I were walking to meet friends for dinner, it was so pretty! But tomorrow I'm sure I'll see it differently.
Have a beautiful Sunday!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
