The Rose

"The optimist sees the rose
and not its thorns;
The pessimist stares at the thorns,
ovlivioius to the rose."
Kahlil Gibran

Raindrops that nourish
Beauty in its perfection
Beauty of the rose

Today is one of those days when the chill outdoors causes one to reflect on the beauty of Spring.  The rose is one of my favorite flowers.  Though Spring is some time off.  I thank God for cameras and the photos they take.  Just another gift for which I am grateful!

Thanks be to God!

  11. i too love roses-i think of the miracle of the Virgin of Guadalupe and her roses in the snow! i've read of rosary beads being made from rose petals-how lovely the fragrance must be while fashioning each bead. thank you for igniting spring in this wintry heart. here's to a safer, kinder, gentler 2021!!!
