St. Patrick's Day Tea Talk

Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
Irish Blessing

I'm having...Irish Breakfast Tea with a slice of warm Irish Soda Bread with melted butter.  Tis the season!

My teacup...is my St. Paddy's Day mug.

I'm feeling...a bit tired this morning.  It was a busy day yesterday and I just wanted to stay in bed a bit longer.  I'm also feeling satisfied as the kitchen is coming together and my satisfaction is only increased by the wonder of finding the kitchen table so easily.  The table was only $50 as Feather Your Nest and I had only paid $5 a chair for 4 a few weeks ago at Mother Teresa's Treasures.  I guess I do have a smidgen  the the "Luck."

On my mind...looking ahead to the weekend.  Busy!  Busy!  Going to the Fish Fry at St. Joe's in the County.  Saturday and Sunday will participate in an Enneagram class.  A number of years ago I read a book on it but was never offered the opportunity to discover my personality type.  So I will this weekend!  Really looking forward to it.

Happy Saint Paddy's Day

It's most appropriate for Father O'Malley to be invitin' ya into my house as he is always a welcome guest, as are all of you! Please ignore the  mess.  It's a bit untidy here as we've been remodeling the kitchen lo these last two months.  I have good news though as there is now water in the kitchen and the oven is connected.  And I've been able to make my beloved Soda Bread.  So come in now and sit for awhile with a cup of tea and a slice or two the bread.

And before you leave please stop for a minute to pray for myself and yourself and all God's creatures.  It's such a comfort to know that the day is governed by the Almighty.

~Tea Talk~

Stands the Church clock at ten to three?
And is there honey still for tea?

I'm having...Irish Breakfast Tea.  Tis the season!

My teacup...is my foolish one.  Just feel that way today!

I'm feeling...excited as tomorrow Marianne and Daniel will be coming to spend the weekend.  She's  gonna help "sissy" with wallpapering while I get to play with Daniel!

On my mind...wondering if there will be enough wallpaper to do the area of the kitchen we want to paper this weekend.  Also, hoping I can maintain my goal of posting my Lenten reflections at  Provident God.  I haven't been very good in the past.

The Day Before the Lenten Journey Begins

You know the day before Lent is like getting ready for a trip.  Before I travel I organize all sorts of things.  I make sure I have the sitter for Duchess and that Sam has someone to come in and check in on him (you know how independent cats are.)  I do that last bit of laundry so there is none to come home to.  The house is made tidier than when we are home (why is that?).  I pack all the bags making sure I have clothes for all kinds of weather (even snow when we go to Colorado), my make-up, medication, books and camera.

Today is the day before my Lenten journey begins this year.  In preparation I have resolved to relax, rest, read and fast from those treats I saver the rest of the year.  May God give me the grace to do so. Another resolution is this.  I, too, will try to keep Provident God up to date.  I have become lax and so this is the real challenge for me this year.  I will make every effort to keep this Journal of my journey up-to-date.

Wishing you all a grand "day before."
