I especially like this quote because wondering leads us to many things. If we wonder that means we are alive. If we wonder, we are still inquisitive. If we wonder, we can still be awed by what we realize. If we wonder, we are still interested in all that intimately touches our lives.
So today I wonder:
1) Will it rain?
2) When will baby Daniel make his entrance into this glorious world?
3) Why do dogs bark and do they understand each other when they do?
4) How do potters have the skill of creating a pot?
5) What in the brain allows someone to create a computer program that I am missing?
I wonder about these things and others. I often wonder what skill it is that I have and have overlooked or have let lay fallow and not used. What do you wonder about?
Have a grand weekend!!!

Thanks be to God!!!
Thanks be to God!!!
Oh!! Thank you is in order!! I received the Silly Goose Award from MightyMom at My Wonderful Life for my entry on her Thesaurus Thursday offering. Visit! Give it a try! It was great fun!!
I love that quote because it also offers hope of becoming more knowledgeable, and it rings so true. If you wonder about something you usually investigate, which in turn does translate to gaining knowledge.
ReplyDeleteLately I've mostly been wondering what God Has in store for us, not so much far into the future, but in the not-so-distant future.
And I wonder about a lot of things that have transpired in my life over the past few weeks. I wonder what the life-lesson is that I'm supposed to be learning.
And I wonder will I be able to maintain a peaceful, accepting heart about everything.
Great post!
All the best,
Eileen
WONDERful post, Cathy! My wonder is sometimes stiffled by my being verbal instead of keeping my thoughts to myself, and thus, some say I'm not a "wonderer" but a "worrier" ....
ReplyDeleteLike Eileen, I wonder if God is getting fed up with our world; and last evening as I watched my four regular hummingbirds visiting our feeders, if their little chirping sounds were truly a way of communicating of just an expression of play, fun, irritation, etc. I wonder if my son and his fiance are going to find the perfect house and I wonder if they will be approved for their loan; I wonder if I am on the path that the Lord has fashioned just for me, or has He told me something at the crossroads and I didn't hear Him and thus ended up on a path that brought pain to me; I wonder if the little business that my daughter and I are trying to launch is going to be successful; and I wonder about two dozen other things every day. Am I worrying or wondering?
I pray that God will help me each day to entrust my worries/wonderings into His hands and leave them in the farthest tunnels of my mind behind a closed door.
You're such a lovely person .... enjoyed visiting very much!
Blessings,
Abbey
I wonder what is is that enables us to recognize animals which are VERY different in appearance as dogs... even if we haven't seen that particular breed before. Think about it!
ReplyDeleteGreyhounds are skinny and fast.
Basset hounds are rounder and shorter and slower.
St. Bernards are L-A-R-G-E.
Chihuahuas aren't.
Beagles bay, but some dogs bark and some woof and some yip... and Basenjis don't do any of those.
Colors vary.
Some coats are short, some long, some soft, some wiry, some curly, some straight.
Pugs have noses that are almost flat.
German Shepherds have longer noses.
Yet I bet most of us would recognize a dog of a breed we'd never seen before as being just what it is...
A dog...
How come?
I wonder what good things this day holds . . . I await its many wonders . . . I wonder who will receive goodness from me . . . will I be able to be what Christ calls me to be? I love that the day will reveal to me these things.
ReplyDeleteA quote we all should ponder for sure....I too wonder if I am doing God's work or if I am doing only work for myself. God surprises me every day, some surprises I could do without, some I welcome.....a wonderful thought provoking post Cathy, we need to read more just like this one......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic quote and very true as well!!
ReplyDeleteI too like that quote. When you wonder you often search for the answer which brings knowledge.
ReplyDeletethose who ask no questions find no answers.
ReplyDeletehey, don't forget..this week's words are up :-)
