A Day With the Deer

She was there for most of the day.  She seemed perfectly comfortable just knowing we were interested in her.  Every year there are deer at Ron's sister's house.  But this year we were able to spend more time just sharing the space with us.

And then sunset came and she decided it was time to to move on.  She took just a moment to turn and bid us a good evening.  It was grand!

Thanks be to God!
Cathy

  1. Such pretty pictures, Cathy, and your mosaic is lovely! The deer just seem like such gentle creatures, don't they? They're really pretty tame around our area, too. They show up at our parents' homes in herds. :)

Thank you for your recent visits, Cathy, and I hope you have a wonderful week!

    Big hugs,

    Denise

  2. It is a very nice feeling to have such great visitors.
We have several that come by our backyard.
Of late, a Doe with two of her kids...
They are a lot of fun, if you don't mind them eating your flowers and such.
    No point in fighting them.
I am trying to plant things they won't eat, given there is a lot they can eat in the backwoods.
    Lovely submission and photos!
    Have a Great Week!
    Peace :)

  4. Lovely photos, We noticed yesterday that the deer weren't running away as quickly when we came out of the house. They are getting used to us.

  17. I adore deer! We don't see very many of them here; but, if I go deeper into the Hill Country (Texas), I might get lucky and see them.
