Childhood Dream Come True

Ron has been a serious space advocate since before the first space launch.  Every space launch was a thrill.  Currently, on a clear night the telescope comes our to watch  Venus, Jupiter and Saturn.  Sometimes Little Boys grow up to be Men who still have their dreams.

So it was that this last October we finally journeyed to the Kennedy Space Center.  He was in Hog Heaven!!!  Just like the little boy in a man's body.

If you've not had an opportunity to visit, it is a wonderful experience with many gifted and talented people to show you around!  There is even an occasional astronaut available for a picture!

So, I would say an entertaining and educational treat is in store for anyone who visits the Kennedy Space Station and Cape Canaveral.

Thanks be to God!!

  1. That would make for a very interesting and educational trip. If I lived closer I would go but not something I would make a special trip for. We have a telescope and use it during the summer when it's not so cold out. Something fun to do

  3. We went to see a launch several years ago, but it was weather-cancelled ,so that was a bit of a disappointment. Still well worth it though .. For all the reasons you say.

  9. Oh what a wonderful trip! I live near by....Canaveral Seashore is about the closet beach to our house. It's my favorite place to be. We actually stood on the golf course behind our house and watched a launch. That's amazing! Your hubby would have been excited like I was....jumping up and down like a kid! lol Enjoy your day!

  11. Many people in the UK have a dream holiday - Florida Disney! Yes, I'm afraid this is true, strange and very sad.

Me? I'm just jealous of Ron.

  19. It was exciting for me at the beginning, then got mundane. Along with the tragedies of space exploration. But, I am happy he followed his dream!!
