Rock Walls and Fences

Rock walls and fences
Boundaries that keep us safe
Oft deny freedom

Tear down the fences
And open wide all those gates
Freedom then returns

~~~^j^~~~
Thanks be to God!!
  1. A wonderful poem. I wonder, do fences keep us in, or keep people out? How about the fences we build around our hearts?
    God bless.
  3. This moved me deeply Cathy. I think fear is the greatest wall of all. Your imagery of opening wide the gates... I can feel my heart open. Bless you for this grace of word and image and I thank God for you. Have a beautiful weekend Cathy!
  9. Fences and walls are a mixed bag, aren't they? There are good things and not-so-good things about them.
  10. Freedom..We can't fence it in, but we need safety. A conundrum for sure.
