As we begin the holiest week of the year on Palm Sunday, let us thank God for sending his Son to die for us and thus gain for us eternal life.  I have always loved this week of the year, even more than preparation for Christmas.  From Holy Thursday, Good Friday to Easter Sunday I have an opportunity to be with my Savior again as He journeys to Calvary.  He died and rose for me, for you!  Take this time to be thankful!

Fixing the Mess

 I knit alot.  It's one of the things that makes me happy.  It's  comforting and relaxing (unless of course I have made a mistake and have to unknit it to fix the mistake.)

You've all met Simba.  He's a cat that is anything but lazy.  Unlike his sister, Nala, who is the lazy cat...also the timid cat.  She's  very relaxed all the time.  He is inquisitive.  NOSEY.  He likes to get into things. . .my yarn.  The other day I awoke to this. . .

So with patience (sort of) and perserverance I was able to fix this mess.  It only took me about an hour to remedy this problem. . .

And all the while "you-know-who "was sleeping.

Yep!!  My cat.  What a treasure!  

I love my cats!!!

When spring arrives, we always make plans for summer.  Well, mine are the memories of a pond we had with 26 gold fish and the water lilies when they bloom in all their glory.  It was easy to sit by the hour and rest in the peace.

The Dryer Inspector

One day two weeks ago, I was doing laundry when I went to put my first load into the dryer.  What did I find in the dryer but inspecting it.  He was serious.  He was being diligent.  He seemed to be enjoying it. That was the first time, in the ten years that he and his sister came to live with us, that I have found him in the dryer.  Well, before I put the clothers in the dryer, I wiped it out and then put the laundry into it to dry.  He has not been in the dryer since.  I guess it passed inspecion.

I'm wondering when spring will be really be here as the weather here is so ambivilent.  It can't seem to make up it's mind.  The river is at flood stage and the wind has blown at 62 mile an hour.  This is very strange weather and I'm just wanting something predictable.  Oh, that's right we're talking about the weather.

I do know my roses are't ready to make any predictions.  The peonies are coming up and daffodils are in bloom.  Nothing even resembling a like rose bush has made a leaf  yet.  Well, I just know I'm looking forward to planting marigolds and zinnias and watching the rose bushes putting on their beauty.

Memories of the Holy Land

I've been watching The Chosen and it brings back memories of my travel to the Holy Land, already four years ago now.  I have always marveled at John's Gospel reading regarding the marriage at Cana.  As a child it was a lesson to me in obedience.  Jesus did as Mother Mary asked.  I know now and understand that is is much more than that.  It was just the beginning of the our salvation.  That journey for us begins with the Scrutinies in two weeks and the lessons they offer us on our journey with our Savior on His journey to His death and resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Cozy Kitty

On days when I get busy and stressed I'm reminded that I should take time to relax.  Simba is the one I can look to for a lesson in how to be cumfy and cozy!  He and his sister Nala are real treasures!
